The days of putting 9-to-5 in at the office are fast fading. Nearly one in four workers is now working at home, at least part of the time, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Not surprisingly, 64.2% of those working at home were self-employed — think contract workers. But 23.1% of full-time workers also either took their work home or worked off site.
And among those with a bachelor’s degree or higher — more than one in three (36.1%) work at least part of the time from home. (Full disclosure, I wrote this from home.)
