Bulgari South Coast Plaza recently hosted an elegant candlelit dinner in honor of 50 patrons of the Philharmonic Society of Orange County’s upcoming Wicked gala. Dinner was served in a beautiful clear-sided tent pavilion on the grounds of the four-acre Nellie Gail Ranch estate of Guisla and Adolf Ohmann. The beautiful property, reminiscent of the famous Villa Borghese gardens in Rome, was the perfect setting for the Rome-based luxury jeweler’s soirée. Bulgari South Coast Plaza general manager Susan Franklin welcomed everyone to the exclusive dinner, which featured crystal chandeliers suspended from a chiffon-draped ceiling and a talented string quartet entertaining throughout dinner. Guests were especially taken with the exquisite jewelry showcased from Bulgari’s High Jewelry Collection, valued at $20 million. Gala chair Marsha Anderson spoke of meeting the Ohmanns on a Philharmonic trip to Salzberg and how, later, learning that the Ohmanns’ daughter, Jeanette Kleitz, was a childhood friend of Franklin’s, set the stage for the elegant evening under the stars. --By Donna Bunce
