If you weren't in Ladera Ranch May 3, you missed some good times. The Fourth-Annual Taste of Ladera was a whirlwind of restaurant food booths, specialty vendors, bands, and even a few celebs like The Real Housewives of Orange County. Live acts included Hollywood U2 (a U2 tribute band), pop-punk band The Go-Sheilas and New Wave band, Berlin. The event, which took place at Founders Park, attracted more than 20,000 guests and benefited more than 20 charities throughout Orange County. --Photos By Laila Derakhshanian and Lance Perkins

Looks like good times!
It was a great time! I live across the street from the park and we had a big party with several of the community folk as well as the guys that brought their massive RVs and watched the Berlin concert from the roof. As great of a time as it was, there could've been more food booths and more events for kids, but the food booths that were there were awesome. If you have not been to Infusion in Ladera, you are missing out. There was a booth for Counter Burger in Irvine and I was hoping it meant they were opening here but, alas, they are not. Great hamburgers though. Restauratuers - try to get in on the taste of Ladera next year, it will be a great event for you.
There are several events throughout the year like this but the word got out for this one and drew in over 15,000 people, many of which were not residents. It was also nice to see some of our celebrity residents; Olympic Swimmer Janet Evans, Retired NFL players Oscar McBride and Kenyon Rasheed as well as the stars of "the Real Housewives of Orange County" at the Taste of Ladera as well. And where else can you get well-known bands like Berlin to play at your event?
Best of all, it raised a ton of money for local charities.
