Designer Bridal

Bridal designer Kenneth Pool made a personal appearance at the Saks Fifth Avenue Bridal Salon at South Coast Plaza and brought a slew of bridal appointments for the bride wanting real glamour. “Brides come to me for ball gowns,” Pool said. “They want lots of embroidery and embellishments. In short, they want to be Cinderella for the day.” Pool said after working for designers Arnold Scassi and Bob Mackie designing evening gowns, it was an easy transition to bridal gowns with lots of beading and sparkle. Pool, whose business is called Platinum for Priscilla of Boston, said the gowns are all made in the original Priscilla of Boston factory in Boston. He lauded Saks’ Bridal Salon Manager Debbie Milisci, saying, “She’s an icon in the industry and is tops at what she does.” --By Donna Bunce
