When you think about it, doesn’t a photo capture a moment of innocence? The shutter clicks, suspending who we were in that second, unaware of who we will become or what life will bring. When Peter Heck and Ivy Navarro Naumann posed for their engagement photo south of the Huntington Beach Pier in 2011, they had no way of knowing that six years later they would be the happy parents of two beautiful children. The couple have made a ritual of coming back every year to this same beach to celebrate their wedding anniversary, settling into the sunset’s warm glow over the chilly Pacific.
