You've been spending way too much time in front of the flat screen and need to get in touch with the outdoors.

You'll want to make sure to visit OC Parks' annual Adventure Day at Caspers Wilderness Park near San Juan Capistrano on Saturday, April 16 for a perfect way to get a little bonding time with the family while experiencing the outdoors. Stop by for some wildlife exhibits, history tours, arts and crafts, games, and refreshments.

Games will include a ring toss, cowboy lasso, potato sack races, trivia quizzes, and spoon and egg races. Also, the Orange County Fire Authority will be on hand to educate visitors on the inner workings of a real fire engine.

Check out musical entertainment from The Dusty Rangers, performing an adventure-themed musical skit, along with OC Parks guitarists, ready to serenade the audience.

Educational programs and interactive experiences include a Hawk Talk, as well as lessons on pelts and skins and animal tracks. Also, learn about bugs, raptors, conservation, navigation, Native American history, and general OC history.

Acjachemen tribe descendant Jacque Tahuka Nunez will enact a journey through the past in order to educate about Native American tribes and their history.
