Two words pretty much sum up the recent Amber Gold Signature Massage that I received at The Resort at Pelican Hill: intense relaxation. And if it sounds like I don’t have a lot to say about my pleasant experience with this massage, it’s because I was so relaxed, I slept through most of it.

But what I do remember is this:

After expressing to massage therapist June that my main problem areas are my neck and back, I placed myself facedown to allow June to work her magic, which included the use of Swedish massage technique combined with dry brushing in order to exfoliate and help increase circulation. June began each section of the massage with light, dry brushing and used brisk massage throughout. I could tell it enlivened my circulatory system, but not my mind.

Using a nicely scented Amber Gold Massage Oil containing bergamot, grapefruit, clove, cedar, vanilla, and calenudula, she focused on my back with long, smooth strokes, using her forearms for some painfully sweet relief. She stretched my arms overhead and moved on to my legs.

At this point I started to really relax… and yes, sleep. Through hazy bouts of consciousness, I do recall June working on my feet with a gentle touch and after having me turn over, she moved back up from my legs. Once she reached my neck, she went to work along the sides with firm strokes – I relax all over again just thinking about it.

For an incredibly relaxing massage, put Amber Gold on your list.
