Construction is expected to begin early this year for an entirely new industrial park alongside the 91 Freeway near La Palma Avenue in Anaheim. Called Anaheim Concourse, the 15-building complex will rise on the 80-acre site purchased in 2007 by Panattoni Development Company, Sacramento, from Boeing Company. Most will recall the site as that of Rockwell Corporation’s aerospace facilities (and old-timers will think of it as North American Aviation).
The $160 million, 1.6 million-square-foot project is one of the largest industrial developments underway in Southern California. A total of 15 buildings, from 46,500 square feet to 350,000 square feet, will be constructed in three phases. The high-end industrial buildings will be a mixture of for-sale and for-lease structures.
The first two phases will consist of eight buildings totaling 865,000 square feet with completion scheduled for the end of 2013.
