ATTORNEY VINCENT HOWARD IS WELL VERSED in protecting the public. As a plaintiff's trial attorney and managing shareholder at Howard Law, PC, he has helped his clients secure compensation for injuries, saved their homes from foreclosure and obtained proper payment from employers.  "Our focus is representing consumers," says Howard. "We give each one of our clients individualized attention to their very unique circumstances."

Practicing law for 10 years, Howard opened his firm in 2011. "It's very rewarding work," he says, "You have a lot of families that come to you after living and raising their families in their home who are faced with losing their home. To be able to save their homes or get them a fair deal is very rewarding."

Before studying law, Howard protected the public as a military police officer in the United States Army. "Being in the military has helped me in every aspect of my life. Our motto was, 'mission first, people always,' and I still carry that with me today."

His affiliations with various organizations aid him in keeping abreast of current consumers laws. Locally, he is the incoming president for the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, a group of plaintiff attorneys dedicated to protecting consumers. At the state level, he's a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, which lobbies for the interest of consumers in Sacramento. On the national level, he's a board governor for the American Association of Justice, which lobbies for the interests of consumers in Washington, D.C.

But protecting public consumers isn't the only reason he is in the business. "I came into the law field because of my son," he says. "When he was born I decided I wanted to be part of a profession that my son would be proud to say his dad worked for. And that's what set me on this path."
