“Live Beaming” is the motto for the latest juice cleanse system hitting Orange County, Beaming Wellness. For Beaming, the motto represents the philosophy of nourishing your body with organic, raw and vegan food that actually tastes good.
Juice cleanses of various kinds and definitions have risen in popularity throughout Orange County and beyond. Beaming is expanding from its original Del Mar location to Orange County to spread the word of its “superfood vitality bar,” offering organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies, elixirs, salads, and baked goods as grab-and-go items as well as being a pick-up location for cleanses that customers order online.
Because they are still a work-in-progress in Orange County, their system will be offered a little differently until they have a permanent location set up. Beaming has teamed up with local businesses throughout Orange County to work as pick-up locations for their three- and four-day cleanses, which customers can order online. There is also a home delivery option for an extra fee.
At Beaming, not only is everything raw, vegan and organic, it is also all made by hand. Their juices are some of the few on the market that are cold-pressed, which is preferable to using juicers that heat up the produce, killing some of the essential enzymes. Plus, Beaming cleanses not only use juice made with fruits and vegetables, but also superfoods such as chia seeds and hemp seeds, as well as salads, soups, elixirs, and smoothies, so you never feel deprived. Beaming discourages the consumption of caffeine and alcohol during their cleanses, “to give your body a little bit of a breather while detoxing,” says Kirsten Hansen, of Beaming Wellness.
“You don’t feel deprived and you actually get to eat something good,” Hansen says.
Beaming takes pride in using all plant-based, raw ingredients, including its own plant-based protein mix, in all juice cleanses. Plant-based, raw ingredients absorb quickly on a cellular level, so your body gets more of the nutrients.
“You feel satisfied and are breaking [bad] habits, so you don’t have to rush out and put bad stuff in your body come Friday,” says Hansen.
The mission at Beaming, cultivated by founder Lisa Odenweller, is not focused on cleansing alone, but creating a lasting, healthy lifestyle for the whole family. They plan to offer group cleanses, items for children and workshops to educate people on living well in Orange County. Their website also includes recipes and other educational tools to give people a more complete understanding of what it means to live beaming, inside and out.
