I didn’t think it was possible to make a mani-pedi any more pleasant. After all, we get to spend an hour or two reading a magazine or simply staring off into space while someone else does the dirty work of caring for our often neglected fingers and toes. Plus, there’s usually a nice hand and/or foot massage thrown in for good measure.
Spa Gregorie’s Rancho Santa Margarita has managed to prove me wrong with its Bedicure, which for only $5 more for any manicure or pedicure, you can enjoy getting your nails done while tucked under a plush blanket in the comforts of a facial treatment bed.
It’s a simple idea, but it made all the difference. Because around the paraffin dip portion of the service, I pretty much conked out. And it wasn’t like one of my usual phasing in and out of consciousness during a spa treatment – it was a flat-out, dead sleep. Though I do vaguely recall a wonderful kind of leg and arm massage in there as well.
