Pairing wine with dinner is almost a no-brainer. Red meat, red wine; white meat, white wine – right? But if you want to get schooled on what beer pairs best with lamb chops, PEI black mussels or duck liver, you’ve got to get to a craft beer dinner.

Orange-based Valiant Brewing Company teams ups with Downtown Santa Ana’s C4 Deli to bring you a six-course meal paired with six beers on May 14. The evening begins with a lavender goat cheese salmon rillette paired with Criterion, a Belgian amber honey rye with light wildflower honey notes and ends with peach cobbler and a Hot and Kolsch, a kolsch beer brewed with roasted Poblano and Jalapeño peppers, with plenty of deliciousness in between.
