Alex Bittar, who has been designing beautiful jewelry with his signature touch for 19 years, made a personal appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue, South Coast Plaza, to showcase his new designs. His work with carved Lucite is legendary and continues in the latest collection, but his work with gold and other metals and precious and semi-precious stones shines in this collection. After nearly two decades in the business, Bittar says, “I feel a sense of accomplishment, but I also have the freedom to design what I want to design. I feel very fortunate, but it has been a lot of hard work.” Bittar employs 220 people and the jewelry is made in New York.
