Capes for Kids
Terry Grahl, founder and CEO of Enchanted Makeovers, has made it her mission to offer encouragement to women and children living in shelters. One of her projects is Capes for Kids, with the slogan, “Don’t wait for a superhero. Be one!” You and your kids can design and construct a cape and mail it to Enchanted Makeovers, which will give it to a child living in a shelter. The project is a creative way to teach children that playing “dress up” can be empowering. Check out the no-sew cape pattern and shipping instructions and make a few to send out. enchantedmakeovers.org
KraftLove
KraftLove provides interactive art projects for sick children waiting for or recovering from surgical procedures. “It is our hope that families, friends and communities across the country will support our mission by having KraftLove parties, where they can assemble and fill our craft boxes and donate them to a hospital of their choice,” said Invah Wright, president of KraftLove Inc.
