Drinks and a Movie

You know that scene in Pulp Fiction where John Travolta tells Samuel L. Jackson that in Europe they drown their French fries in mayo and you can order a beer in a movie theater? Well, besides being grossed out at the thought of drowning anything in mayo, that scene always makes me think that selling beer at the movies is a good idea.

The folks over at CinemaFusion movie theater thought it was a good idea too. Located at The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk, CinemaFusion’s Sky Lobby lounge is a 21-and-over theater that offers beer and wine at the concession stand along with the usual popcorn and Junior Mints.

Besides showing new releases, the Sky Lobby has special showings of classic films, like East of Eden and The Godfather, in the Screening Room along with trivia and giveaways. The theater also features leather seating and is available for private events. The bar opens at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Now if only they’d put a $5 shake on the menu.
