It was cocktails by sunset and dancing beneath the stars at the 14th annual Crystal Cove Seaside Soirée.

More than 400 supporters gathered on the bluff of Crystal Cove on October 1 to raise a record-breaking $418,000 for the Crystal Cove Alliance, the organization devoted to the preservation of this local treasure trove of natural and historic resources.

Guests felt a little sand between their toes during an alfresco cocktail hour. As the sun dropped over the Pacific, they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres from the Resort at Pelican Hill and a top-drawer silent auction.

Partygoers then strolled into an open-air tent, beneath the starlit sky, for a three-course meal featuring locally sourced ingredients created by the resort, a live auction and entertainment by the California Honeydrops.

“We’re thrilled with the generous support from the community and the passion our advocates have for preserving the historic jewel that is Crystal Cove,” said newly appointed CCA President and CEO Alix Hobbs.

“Nowhere else along the California coast is there a place where history and architecture meets open space with majestic ocean views and a bountiful underwater park,” added Hobbs.
