Rocket Men
|
Self-proclaimed scientists Fritz Grobe, a former juggler, and Stephen Voltz, a former lawyer, have created the world’s first rocket car fueled by the infamously volatile Coke and Mentos combination.
In Orange County’s very own Tustin blimp hangars, 108 two-liter bottles of Coke Zero mixed with 648 Mentos mints sent the rocket car flying a whopping 221 feet.
The rocket car is just another success in the duo’s numerous Coke-Mentos experiments. The two hope to break a world record in Germany later in summer 2010 by setting off 2,000 Coke-Mentos geysers in chorus.
