Casey's Cupcakes presents its Golden Velvet Cupcake in honor of the first season of the Golden Foodie Awards, OC’s first red carpet event to celebrate the local culinary culture and talent.

The delectable limited-edition cupcake, a twist on the red velvet cupcake, is topped with a gold-tint frosting, sprinkled with 24-carat gold dust, and decorated with gilded candy pearls and candy curls. Expect a tasting at the Golden Foodie Wine and Cheese Social at The District at Tustin Legacy on July 15 from 4-6 p.m.

The Golden Velvet Cupcake is currently available at all Casey's Cupcakes locations until September 30, 2012, the day of the grand Golden Foodie Awards. Mention the special word “24-carat” for a discount to purchase the glamorous confection at $4.50 each or $24 for a box of six.
