Have Some Fun
There’s nothing like pretty colors and yummy scents to turn bath time into playtime for everyone in the family. LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics accomplishes this well with its new FUN line of moldable soap for hair and body, which not only leaves you clean and smelling like candy, but lets you connect with your inner child as you create and mold the soap to your imagination’s fancy. The best part is that 2.5% of FUN’s global sales go into FUNd, a new fund set up to make grant donations to charities and community groups providing fun activities for children living in Fukushima, Japan, following the 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. FUN comes in yellow, green, blue, red, and pink and retails at $6.95 for 250 grams of soap at LUSH in Fashion Island.

Spa Giving
Come in for a treatment at Spa Gregorie’s in Newport Beach or Rancho Santa Margarita, and while you’re in, peruse the knit scarves and purses knitted at the annual Knit-a-Thon in Fashion Island, benefitting breast cancer research. “The spa industry is about harmony and health. You can’t be truly harmonious if you are only thinking about yourself; it is good for the body and soul to think about and give back to others,” says Angela Cortright, owner/founder of Spa Gregorie’s. Knitted items start at $10 and are available through the first of the year.

For the 4th Annual Limited Edition Creme de Corps Holiday Collection, Kiehl’s Since 1851 enlisted pop surrealist Kenny Scharf – known for, among other things, his work on album covers for The B-52’s in the mid-1980s. All proceeds from the collection, adorned with Scharf’s art, will benefit over 40 children’s causes around the world, including 100% of net profits of United States sales going to RxArt, a nonprofit working to place original fine art in patient, procedure and exam rooms of healthcare facilities. The collection includes the Creme de Corps classic formula of super-hydrating moisturizer in 8.4 oz., $29.50; 16.9 oz. with pump, $48; one liter, $75; and the Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter, $38.
