Game Five: Anaheim Ducks vs. Los Angeles Kings

LAWRENCE SHERWIN

The Anaheim Ducks returned home Monday, May 12 after winning both games in Los Angeles to even the Western Conference second round series at two apiece. It figured to be a spirited affair and the sellout crowd of over 17,000 was not disappointed as the Ducks won 4-3. Led by winger Devante Smith-Pelly (two goals) and rookie goalie John Gibson (stopped 39 of 42 shots on goal), the Ducks outlasted the Kings to lead the series 3-2. Teemu Selänne understated the situation when he said, "We have to find an easier way to win." The Ducks are a win away from the Western Conference finals. The teams meet again on Wednesday, May 14 in Los Angeles.
