Fireworks Fun

Whether you plan to stay home or hit the beach, the Fourth of July weekend promises to be filled with activities for you and your family to enjoy. So check out this list of local firework festivities and don't forget your lawn chairs and blankets.

Anaheim
Anaheim will celebrate Independence Day with its annual parade and fireworks show. A pancake breakfast and Yankee Doodle Dog show at Canyon High School will precede the hour-long afternoon parade. Entertainment will be held at Peralta Park before the fireworks show begins. 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Canyon High School, 220 Imperial Hwy. :: Peralta Park, 115 N. Pinney Dr.

Cypress and Los Alamitos
The cities will hold a joint fireworks celebration at the Joint Forces Training Base, where there will be sponsor booths, a kids zone and of course a fireworks display. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and a form of California ID. $5 parking fee per vehicle. Gates open at 4 p.m. 11200 Lexington Dr., Los Alamitos

Dana Point
If you and your loved ones are spending the day at a south Orange County beach, you might be at the optimum location to view fireworks off the Dana Point Harbor. Residents and spectators are encouraged to walk or bike to a viewing location. 9 p.m. 34624 Golden Lantern St.

Fullerton
The Fullerton High School Stadium will play host to the annual 4th of July Community Festival and Fireworks Show. Live music, entertainment, food and games for all ages will be offered. Admission is free. 5-9 p.m. Corner of Lemon and Berkeley

Huntington Beach
The Fourth of July Parade and Pier Festival will run all weekend long in Huntington Beach. A parade followed by a spectacular fireworks show is scheduled along with a variety of other entertainment activities. Lake Park Bleacher Parade seating pre-sale tickets are $15 and $20 on July 4. Saturday, July 2-Monday, July 4, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. 325 Pacific Coast Hwy.

La Habra
La Habra residents looking for food and fun to celebrate Independence Day should look no further than La Habra High School. Starting in the afternoon, the city will hold its annual celebration, boasting games and live entertainment for all to enjoy, followed by a dazzling fireworks display. 5-9 p.m. 801 Highlander Ave.

Mission Viejo
The Annual Street Fair and Fireworks Spectacular show includes carnival rides, games and food. Free booths with entertainment, music, dancing, and comedy shows are aimed to please attendees of all ages. The event will end at sundown when the fireworks show begins. 12-9 p.m. Olympiad Rd. and Marguerite Pkwy.

Santa Ana
Centennial Park in Santa Ana is the perfect place to watch fireworks a day early. The Sunday night celebration promises live music, a history walk and food for purchase. Sunday, July 3, 6-9:30 p.m. 3000 W. Edinger Ave.

Yorba Linda
The city will hold its annual fireworks display at Veterans Park, where guests are encouraged to bring their own seating arrangements and enjoy the music, food and the beautiful fireworks showcase. 5-9 p.m. 4845 Casa Loma Ave.
