Everybody is familiar with George Carlin’s "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television" – and don’t think I’m going to say them here, because it turns out they are inappropriate for blogs too – but what about his Last Words?
Last Words is the title of George Carlin’s autobiography that at the time of his death in 2008, was still unfinished. But author and longtime friend Tony Hendra, who had been working with Carlin on the book since 1993, finally had it published. And though he isn’t around to shock you with dirty words, Carlin’s daughter, Kelly, will be on hand at Laguna Beach Books on March 13, reading excerpts from her father’s memoir, as well as fielding questions from the audience.
Kelly, due partly to the influence of her counterculture father, has pursued writing and filmmaking and will also read from her own essay featured in the anthology, Dirty Laundry: Real Life. Real Stories. Real Funny.
