I know everybody insists on referring to the 10th month of the year as “Rocktober,” but there never seems to be any events that actually justify it. Until now, that is.
AHL Productions and KROQ are teaming up to present the Halos N Horns Music Fest at the OC Fair & Event Center on Friday, October 30. With 13 stages showcasing more than 100 bands, Halos N’ Horns is the largest Halloween music event you’ll find in the OC this year.
Hardcore rock band Korn will headline along with L.A. electronica/indie band Shiny Toy Guns and mash-up master, Girl Talk. BassNectar and Shwazye featuring Cisco Adler, along with plenty of talented local acts like Kris Swanson & the Liberators and Shotgun City are also all slated to take one of the many stages.
And if the lineup doesn’t have you convinced that October is as rockin’ as they say, then maybe the cash prize costume contest will sway you. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster at $40 for general admission and $70 for preferred seating. There’s also a limited amount of VIP packages that include preferred seating, food, drinks, and entrance to the VIP lounge available for $150.
