LIVE THE ISLAND LIFESTYLE

Lido Isle is a man-made island with an original vision of being used as a Mediterranean-style resort island in 1923. With the appeal in location, the island soon became one of the first masterly coastal communities. While the Mediterranean theme is carried through in street names and in some of the architecture, you will also find a variety of styles to include Cape Cod and modern-style custom homes.

PRESTIGIOUS AND PRIVATE – YET CASUAL

Casey Lesher, who specializes in the island and its properties, calls Lido Isle “very prestigious yet very casual.”

“What’s great about Lido is you’re on the water and you have access to the Lido Isle clubhouse, beaches, tennis courts, basketball courts within a strong sense of community that neighbors share.” The clubhouse “is very active and, unlike any other in Newport Beach, claiming the distinguished Yacht Club and the Men’s, Women’s and Tennis clubs, and children’s sailing club.”

Lido Isle’s proximity to the notorious Newport Beach gives residents a connection to all the activities of the locality – yet, Lesher says, residents’ privacy is maintained since the only way to get onto the island is to cross the bridge. Summer traffic is sequentially avoided and no short-term vacation properties or any commercial buildings are on the island, providing the utmost tranquility for enjoying Strada strolls and patio socializing.

“Another really exciting quality that Lido residents access is the Lido Marina Village that is currently undergoing an exquisite restoration,” Lesher said. “We’re very excited about it because it’s being brought back to its original charm and vibrancy.”

The center, a focal point of life on Lido Isle, offers waterside restaurants, elegant shopping, and hosts a Farmers Market on the weekends, Lesher said. The restoration?is expected to be complete by the end of?this year.

BOOMING NEW CONSTRUCTION

The price range of properties, Lesher explains, spans from $1.4 million to $11 million. New construction and teardown lots are in demand and sell very quickly. The price range can afford you an interior street-to-strada or street-to-street location, a large corner site, or a Bayfront position – all unique and enviable. Graystone Custom Homes, he said, is a sought-after builder and has produced several homes on the island that have consistently brought record sales. One of Lesher’s currently listed Graystone homes is situated on 35-foot lot located on a great, central street just steps from one of the beaches and docks.
