Traditional Jewelers held a 40th Anniversary Watch Fair and Sale at its Newport Beach boutique over a recent weekend. The event drew timepiece collectors and early holiday shoppers to chat with representatives from top brands, experience the latest models and limited edition pieces, and meet a Traditional Jewelers watchmaker.
General Manager Nick Vega greeted guests, while celebrated watchmaker Arthur Bodin worked in real time to assemble a luxury timepiece. Arthur is a certified watchmaker for such brands as Breitling, Cartier, Panerai, Omega and Rolex, and works for Traditional Jewelers and its parent company Hyde Park Jewelers, along with his father, Igor Bodin.
Fans of fine timepieces admired the Patek Phillippe grand complications watch, a collector’s piece priced at $164,000. A “complication” in a mechanical timepiece refers to features beyond the display of hours and minutes, such as a perpetual calendar, moon phases, and chronograph functions.
At the event, Traditional Jewelers offered owners the opportunity to have their timepiece receive free computerized diagnostic testing, trade in a watch for something new, and shop special and limited collections of new and pre-owned watches.
