Tiger Collection
WEB-EXCLUSIVE: Don't miss John Hardy Creative Director Guy Bedarida's new jewelry collection, inspired by the Japanese tiger and available through Saks Fifth Avenue in South Coast Plaza.
Guy Bedarida, John Hardy creative director and head designer, said his inspiration for his new Macan, or Tiger Collection, was an 18th century painting. “I found it in Kyoto at an antique dealer,” Bedarida said. “The painting represented the Japanese tiger, which is not a traditional tiger, but almost a Kabuki tiger.”
The Cinta 18k yellow gold Macan cuff features a 31.29 carat cushion fire opal set in a pave of black sapphires (.40 cts.), yellow sapphires (9.52 cts.) and black diamonds (13.58 cts.), and retails for $52,800. Bedarida is inspired by the beautiful island of Bali, where he lives and works. The John Hardy factory is the biggest employer on the island. Bedarida’s bamboo, pebble and hammered collections this season are spectacular. Visit Saks Fifth Avenue at South Coast Plaza to view and/or order this talented designer’s handiwork.
