When I was a kid, my parents exited restaurants more distraught than when they entered, shaking their heads saying, “Never again.” So it's nice to hear that Orange County restaurants are welcoming families to their establishments at affordable prices – even if it's just for a week.
The first-ever Kids Restaurant Week is taking place at a variety of OC restaurants from June 27-July 3, 2010. Prix fixe, family-style menus will range from $20-$40 for lunch and $30-$60 for dinner for a family of four. For all those foodies raising kids, this is the ultimate excuse to try some new spots and drag the kids along. Best of all, a portion of the proceeds will be donated, very fittingly, to Share Our Strength, a nonprofit that raises funds and organizes efforts in fighting hunger around the world.
