Loving OC

WEB-EXCLUSIVE: Check out this chance for OC residents to show off where they live, and possibly win a trip to Vegas in the process.

What do you love about where you live – and I mean really love? Disregard your weird, nosy neighbor for a second and think hard. Is it that local, dinky coffee shop down the street with your favorite scones? The fact that you live 10 minutes from Disneyland – or even better, a stone’s throw away from the beach? Or maybe it’s something in your own front yard?

Capture a photo that tells what you love about where you live, and enter it into Archstone Apartment’s photo contest. Don’t be shy (borrow a camera if you have to!), because this is an opportunity to reveal some local color, and show off your hood’s personality.

The grand prize doesn’t hurt either – the Las Vegas Love package worth $2,000 includes round-trip airfare for two, two nights in a Tower Suite at Treasure Island Casino and Resort, a massage for two at the Oleksandra Spa & Salon, and tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s Love.

Among the panel of judges is Kelly Wardle, editor of Citysearch Los Angeles, a Yelp-like guide to food, fun, hotels, and events in LA.  The contest is part of Archstone Apartments’ promotion, Live Love Archstone, which ran February 11-14, 2010, at a number of community sites, including Orange County.

Submit photo entries to Livelovearchstone@archstonemail.com by February 21. The contest is open to residents in California, Washington, Colorado, Texas, and Arizona, ages 18 and up. The winner will be announced Friday, February 26.
