Although the desire to flash somebody in exchange for a strand of cheap, plastic beads was always kind of lost on me, Mardi Gras is a popular tradition. And Fat Tuesday, which pre-dates "Girls Gone Wild," is widely celebrated outside of New Orleans.

Case in point: RA Sushi is hosting Mardi RA Masquerade Ball at its Tustin location on Fat Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Patrons are encouraged to wear purple, gold and green as RA Sushi channels Bourbon Street from 8 p.m. until close with free-flowing beads and drink specials, including $4 vodka and Red Bull. Specials on themed bar food such as Cajun wings, Creole crawfish and voodoo rolls will also be available, along with DJ Sonik spinning from 8 p.m. to midnight. So this Fat Tuesday, keep your shirt on and head over to RA Sushi.
