Marines were the superstars at the Seventh Annual Crisp Family Super Bowl event, held Sunday at American Legion Post 291 in Newport Beach. The celebration, hosted by Julie and Gary Crisp, is put on by their staff at C2 Reprographics. Some 160 active duty Marines from the Fifth Regiment at Camp Pendleton were the guests of honor and they saw more than a football game. Desperado, an Eagles tribute group, performed. The USC Trojan Marching Band put on a rousing show. The Los Angeles Clippers cheerleaders danced and posed with very happy Marines. The Marines were treated to barbeque, harbor cruises, bottomless beer kegs, cigars, massages and even manicures. Some risked trying to conquer a mechanical bull and some tried yoga, which a few found more difficult than a Marine workout. About equal numbers of Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots supporters watched and cheered the Super Bowl. A check for $12,00 was presented to the Dana Point Fifth Marine Regiment Support
