In celebration of National Adoption Month, a crowd of 340 guests attended Olive Crest Orange County’s The Power of One luncheon to hear keynote speaker David Pelzer, best-selling author, inspirational speaker and internationally recognized humanitarian.

“For over four decades, Olive Crest has become the premier facilitator of foster children and children in dire need,” Pelzer told the overflowing room at the Westin South Coast Plaza. “They are the ultimate safe haven. You want to talk about unconditional love? That is Olive Crest.  Bless all the work they do.”

At the luncheon’s end, Pelzer autographed his New York Times best-selling book, “A Child Called It.” Co-masters of ceremonies for the event, which honors Olive Crest’s adoptive and foster families were Tim Bauer, executive director of development at Olive Crest Orange County, and Wendy and Tim McMahan.

Luncheon sponsors included Kylie Schuyler, Debbie Ferrée, Union Bank, Toyota of Huntington Beach, Paul Nienow, The Steve Bernardy Family, Merrill Lynch, HUB International, Oltmans Construction, Roya Cole and Madeline Zuckerman Marketing & Public Relations Inc.
