Downing, as senior vice president and fashion director for the renowned retailer, gets a chance during Fashion Week in New York to view the newest trends. This season, he said, floral prints are de rigueur, and stripes are not far behind. Then, add the head-to-toe all-white look, the “rich” hippy look, or as Downing calls it, the “boho” look – with peasant off-the-shoulder blouses and maxi skirts – the wide-leg, high-waisted pant, the tuxedo jacket – during the day or for evening with a long, flowing gown – and lots and lots of color, especially coral.
