Thar be ghosts out there, if you believe the stories told. Despite Orange County’s relative youth, we have our fair share of lingering spirits. There are dozens of places with spooky stories that just will not die. Here are a few as well as some groups that take you in search of ghosts. Decide for yourself how real they are, but what better way to celebrate Halloween than a trip to a few of these local spots.
Plummer Auditorium, Fullerton High School

The spirit of former school superintendent Louis Plummer is said to cause lights to malfunction, fixtures to warp and could even be the floating spinning head that has been seen.

At a pepper tree near the railroad tracks, a lady with long dark hair and a white gown will stare at you. She could be a convicted killer, a witch, La Llorona the Mexican traveling spirit searching for her lost children, or someone once connected to the mission.
Villa Del Sol Plaza

Doors close on their own, strange thumping sounds and falling objects have been among the things reported, attributed to a murder-suicide in the 1920s.
