The 24th America’s Family Pet Expo is back for another year of anything and everything pets for all us animal lovers.

The expo will be held at its usual location – the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa – on April 19-21.

President of the World Pet Association Doug Poindexter says the expo grows every year in terms of shows, exhibitors and attractions.

“Last year was the first year to host a reptile show and sale,” says Poindexter. “And it was so successful, we will be hosting reptiles again.”

This year, the expo celebrates Disney’s film Super Buddies by welcoming Captain Megasis, the canine hero and star of the film. Additional pet celebrities include Beatrice, the canine who plays “Stella” on “Modern Family” and Lambchop, the dog who plays “Yakult” on “Suburgatory.”

Don’t miss The Amazing Dobermans trained by Neecha Braun, featuring Dobermans completing jumps, tricks and flips.

The International Cat Association (TICA) Cat Program is held for attendees to learn more about the different types of breeds of cats and their unique personalities.

But the expo isn’t just about cats and dogs. You can watch birds take flight and perform some tricks during the The Flight Bird Show. And Repticon – Reptile Show & Sale – allows guests to touch and hold snakes, lizards and tarantulas during hands-on demonstrations.

The expo will also host a pet adoption throughout the weekend – including felines, canines, bunnies, etc. The Pet Expo invites all human members of the family, but pets are not allowed for safety reasons.

“I find great satisfaction knowing that we are creating an opportunity to find a family-fun way to enrich the lives of people through pets and ensure the public understands what is needed to care for their pet for the pet’s lifetime,” says Poindexter.
