HB's Pierside Pavilion to Get Makeover

Plans are underway for Pierside Pavilion, a four-level retail, dining and office complex just steps from the beach in downtown Huntington Beach. Pierside Pavilion will transform a former six-screen cinema into what the City of Huntington Beach and the developer hope will become another center of attraction for the growing downtown.
The cinema was shut down in 2006 after the developer could not attract a new operator for the theater, and has been idle since then. Now, the City Council has approved a partnership between the property’s owner and Huntington Beach’s Redevelopment Agency to create the new project.
Plans call for retail on the ground level, restaurants on the second level and offices on levels three and four.
