We’re mostly mere Muggles, but if you had to name a wizard on Earth, it just might be John Williams, the prolific composer who has pretty much written the soundtrack to our movie lives. This month, a symphony orchestra of 85 will perform Williams’ iconic score from “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” accompanying a screening of the blockbuster film for four performances at Segerstrom Center. The 2001 movie, the first of eight based on J.K. Rowling’s immensely popular book series, will be shown in high definition on a 40-foot-high screen.
Gryffindors, Slytherins, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws welcome.
