The 18th annual SeaChange Summer Party in Dana Point served as a “Mad Men” reunion of sorts, as actors Jon Hamm, January Jones, Kiernan Shipka and Michael Gladis were among the celebs in OC to support Oceana’s ocean preservation efforts. Guests mingled over cocktails in a chic,1960s-themed space overlooking the beach at the Strands at Headlands luxury home development, before adjourning to a tented venue for dinner, live auction, speeches and entertainment.
January Jones, who is an Oceana ambassador, spoke about her passion for saving sharks, noting that some 100 million are killed each year, often only for their fins, which are made into soup.  Oceana board member Sam Waterson said a few words before Hamm gave the keynote speech. National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Dr. Enric Sal was honored for his work with Oceana creating huge marine conservation areas. Co-chaired as always by Valarie Van Cleave and Eve Kornyei Ruffatto, the party raised $1 million.
