Style signatures of the late ’60s and the ’70s have returned with gusto for spring. Think wide-leg and bell-bottom pants, gladiator sandals and platform heels, jumpsuits and pantsuits, suede and fringe, bold prints and maxidresses. Just don’t cue the revolving disco ball quite yet. The throwback isn’t so much about stepping out in head-to-toe outfits inspired by television’s “Empire” or the film “Inherent Vice” as much as reinterpreting the styles of the times your way. It’s about distilling the essence of that era – the hedonism, the freedom and the audacity of it all – into one modern ensemble.
