Round one of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs featured the Anaheim Ducks against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday, April 16. In game one, the Ducks roared out to a 4-0 lead. Costly penalties and defensive lapses let Dallas back into the game but the Ducks hung on to win 4-3. With about a minute left to play, Ryan Getzlaf was hit in the face with a puck. There were concerns about his ability to continue play. However, the captain came back in game two on Friday, April 18 to help lead the Ducks to a 3-2 victory with an assist and an unassisted goal. Corey Perry also had an unassisted game-winning goal. Duck’s goalie Frederik Andersen stopped the Stars in their tracks with his terrific play.
