As you school stock up on your school supplies, be sure and pick up some honoring the dead supplies too.

November 2 is Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican holiday celebrating the lives of friends and family that have passed away.

But if you’re not sure exactly what supplies you need to honor the dead, Calacas, the Mexican culture and clothing boutique in Santa Ana is here to help. Calacas Sugar Skull Workshops are back again on August 26 at 6:30 p.m. The $3 materials fee includes everything you need to make a sugar skull and a short lesson on the history of Dia de los Muertos.

These popular workshops fill up fast and space is limited, so it suggested that you RSVP. If you can’t make it August 26, the Sugar Skull Workshops will continue with classes every Friday evening during the month of September.
