Summer has faded, but the good works of the season still resonate for Olive Crest. That’s because Tommy Bahama teamed up with the nonprofit in June for the 17th annual golf tournament and charity auction. The event raised more than $160,000 to support Olive Crest’s foster care and adoption programs, residential housing, and more.
An impressive lineup of 165 golfers participated in the tournament at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, followed by sumptuous dinner at Tommy Bahama’s Island Grille in Newport Beach. More than 240 guests attended, including Olive Crest supporters Howard, Olivia and Mike Abel; Mike and Lori Feeney; Dennis and Lorraine Bader; Beverly Brooks; Cathy Hanley, Debi Seals, Anita Seiveley and Paul and Margaret Cannon; Anna Murphy-Duehring and Bill Duehring, Randy and Diane Rider; Matt and Brianne Kopp; Rudy Kramer, Joe Khung, John Stratman, Tom Breitfeller, Neil Robinson, Juan Lopez, Alexandria Bauer, and Jeff and Shannon Mathews; Steve and Suzanne Bernardy; Bill and Kelly Neavel; Bill and Melissa Meehan; Bobby and Zetta Grich; Dennis Kuhl; Jamie and Dina Nelson; Debbie and Al Hensling; and Deborah and Laura Van Duedekom.
“We cannot thank all our friends at Tommy Bahama enough for their continued support and dedication to at-risk children and families,” said Tim Bauer, Olive Crest’s Orange County executive director of development. “Olive Crest has been the beneficiary of this premier golf tournament and dinner for nearly two decades. Over one and a half million dollars has been raised to help the children and families we serve right here in Orange County.”
