Throughout Disneyland’s illustrious nighttime entertainment, from fireworks to the classic and temporarily retired Electrical Parade, half of the young Disney nuts are wide-eyed and sugared-up, oohing and aahing, while the other half are passed out in strollers or parents' arms.
Either way, visitors of the park want to end their day with a show, and Summer Nightastic! offers Disney’s best. New to the lineup is World of Color, premiering on June 11, 2010 on Paradise Bay in Disney’s California Adventure. It is expected to be a quintessential Disney spectacular of lights, classic Disney music and dramatic special effects set among hundreds of fountains. Animated moments from The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo, will be projected onto the water, as well as new animation.
Magical, the fireworks show starring Pinocchio, Mary Poppins, Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother, and a flying Dumbo, returns this summer after its successful debut last year. Frontierland also welcomes back Fantasmic!, a fan favorite featuring the villainous Maleficent's transformation into a 40-foot dragon and Ursula’s evil, eel sidekicks, Flotsam and Jetsom, wreaking havoc.
Summer Nightastic! 2010 runs nightly through August 29; Magical runs through Labor Day weekend.
