The favored hangout of those cast out of the house is the garage. It’s where hobbies are pursued and unused furniture is banished. It’s also where the AR4T Gallery draws inspiration for its latest exhibition.
Aptly named The Garage, this art show features the hand-carved, hand-painted skateboard decks of Seattle-based Brennan Coyle as well as sustainable art concepts of Patrick “Duffy” De Armas and Justin Kane Elder of Electric Coffin Supply Co.
A 15-foot reclaimed and recycled mixed media installation will also be on view August 2-25. The Garage’s opening reception on August 2 will coincide with the Laguna Beach 1st Thursdays Art Walk, featuring live music from the self-proclaimed “vaudeville, rock n’ roll, blues, circus act two piece” Old Scratch.
