There’s never enough of it, we all want more of it and it goes by in a flash. It’s time, and it just keeps on ticking. Four up-and-coming local professionals talk about the concept of time, how it plays into their daily lives and why it never ceases to matter – all while modeling the season’s latest timepieces. Now that’s time management.

Making Time
“Everything we do revolves around time. Whether it’s IRS deadlines or keeping track of the financial evolution of a business or family and adjusting investment exposure accordingly, our goal is to provide clients with clarity and peace of mind so they can spend less time worrying about managing their money and more time doing the things they love. Money is important, but there is no question that the most valuable asset of all is time.”

Watching Time
“When it comes to teaching, there never seems to be enough hours in the day. That’s why mastering time management skills is crucial to creating a successful learning environment. The day runs on a pretty tight schedule; as a result, I’m constantly keeping my eye on the clock in order to keep track of where I am in my lesson and to assess how I can make the most of the learning day.”

Doing Time
“As a criminal defense attorney, I cannot afford to lose track of time because it’s not my time to lose. The time belongs to my client, who has just been arrested and formally and publicly accused of committing a crime. Armed with the knowledge of both constitutional and statutory laws, I am able to effectively manage the case and ensure that my client’s rights are preserved and he is afforded due process of the law. So what does time mean to my profession? When you’re doing time, it means everything.”

Keeping Time
“Time is everything in the game of soccer. Coaching strategies really come into play depending on how much time is left in a half or a game. Different coaching strategies are used based on the time in the game. If you are down by a goal or up by a goal with time winding down, you have to treat those situations completely differently. Time management can be the difference between a game won or a game lost.”
