The Burch Phenomenon

WEB-EXCLUSIVE: Tory Burch makes an appearance at Neiman Marcus, Fashion Island, to showcase her 2010 spring fashion and accessories line.

Tory Burch, fashion’s newest wunderkind, has said from the beginning of her ascent that her mother has been her biggest inspiration. “To this day, she is still the most stylish woman I know. She always looks effortless and comfortable in whatever she’s wearing,” Burch said at her recent Neiman Marcus, Fashion Island, appearance to showcase her 2010 spring fashion and accessories line. It seems her father got into the action for this collection. “The gingham 'Mikkel' top was actually inspired by one of my father’s shirts,” Burch said. The collection features a Native American inflection with moccasins, tie-dye and snake print, but there is also leather, denim, studs, and sequins. Her garden print is fabulous, as are her pops of color. I loved the "Marris" turquoise dress. Her Wrap Up Sandal (her favorite shoe in the collection, she said) was hot, and the brand new Tevin collection of handbags, with its new shapes and colors, was well received.
