The five eco-friendly “treerooms” are quiet and secluded but comfortable and as modern as an Ikea showroom. But showers are located separately. Brittas Restaurant serves up the food (which can be brought to your room) and the bar and Tree Sauna keep things relaxed, even after a day fishing or kayaking on the river, horseback riding, mountain biking or just exploring in the countryside. At the edge of the Siskiyou National Forest is a 36-acre private ranch that is the Out ‘n’ About Treesort, kind of a kid’s dream come true of a tree house village courtesy of owner and builder Michael Garnier.
