Along the Coast Blog: Fountain Valley Allows Fake Grass

Fake grass? Yes, Fountain Valley homeowners can landscape with fake grass following a change in a city ordinance, which had prohibited artificial turf.

Proponents of the change cited reduction in use of water, reduction in water runoff into sewers and less green waste to be hauled to dumps.

The city dictates the types of artificial turf that can be used and requires that the turf be maintained so that color does not fade.
