The good thing about art is that you can find it almost anywhere. Art is exhilarating wherever you are at, so why not enjoy it while you are having a nice meal, about to catch a flight or are staying at a luxury hotel? If you’re an art lover interested in unique art and unique places to find art, check out these artsy venues.

John Wayne Airport
Visit John Wayne Airport anytime through October 15 to view artwork from the OC Fair’s permanent art collection, which consists of award-winning photography and woodworking entries. The art will be displayed at the Vi Smith Concourse Gallery in Terminal A and in art display cases across from the Oasis Grille and Sky Lounge. Ticketed passengers who have passed through security may visit the display.

Bistango, Bayside and Kimera Restaurants
At Bayside, Bistango and Kimera Restaurants, the art around you is part of the dining experience. Every three months, the restaurants feature new art from different and emerging artists. Displayed art is available for purchase. Participating artists at Bistango include Warren Long, Richard Rice and Ed Bopp. The featured artist at Bistango through the end of July is Lawrence Armstrong and at Kimera through August is Peter Carapetian.

Marconi Automotive Museum
The Marconi Automotive Museum, which opened in 1994 by founder Dick Marconi, has a variety of historical, exotic and classic cars. You may also plan any event at the museum, in which a large percentage of proceeds go to local children’s charities.

The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel
This luxurious hotel is displaying over 20 photos from award-winning photographer Clark Little in the lobby, restaurant, hallways, and the VIP club. These amazing photographs, some of which are as large as six feet wide, include images of shorebreak waves and sea turtles. Little’s famous Flying Honu is on display – featuring a sea turtle diving under a wave. You may view the display until July 16.

Wyndham Orange County
The Wyndham Hotel in Costa Mesa features Orange County artists in its art gallery, rotating four times a year. In each rotation, guests view up to 35 works of art, ranging in price. Visit the Artists Reception hosted by the hotel to welcome each new rotation and meet the featured artists.

Montage Laguna Beach
The California Arts and Crafts movement inspires the art collection at this luxury hotel, which features works from plein air artists, including William Wendt, Jean Mannheim and Edgar Payne.

Ocean Institute
On September 9-11, the Ocean Institute is hosting its 27th Tall Ships Festival, which gives you the opportunity to observe tall ships, blacksmiths, scrimshaw artists, and be entertained by Port Royal Privateers (volunteers dressed as pirates).

Beauty Boutique
The spa features works from stencil and media artist Diane Elizabeth and also carries artists that make jewelry and hair accessories, including KAGE jewelry. Look out for artist Cordell Ross in August.
