Winter Craft Super Show
For arts and crafts enthusiasts, the Anaheim Convention Center is hosting the Craft & Hobby Association’s 2010 Winter Craft Super Show. Peruse the handcrafted goods or even sign up for a class in sewing, scrapbooking, jewelry making, and more. $15 for one day; $20 for two days. Free for kids under 10. $10 parking

Snow Day
On January 30, the Orange County Great Park kicks off a month-long winter wonderland, complete with 100 tons of real snow for Opening Day. Admission is free, and so is ice skating in front of the nostalgic backdrop of Hangar 244. Sledding, snowman-building and snow angel laziness are welcome. Open Friday-Sunday only

Winter Bulb Festival
Explore UC Irvine’s Arboretum as it showcases its vibrant South African bulb garden in full bloom during the annual Winter Bulb Festival. And if you find yourself inspired by these delicate flowers, pick up a potted South African bulb at the Arboretum’s plant sale. $2 admission, free for kids under 12. Free parking
