Many homebuilders look for ideal infill sites – parcels in built-up areas that have either been left as open land or are under-utilized. In 2011, William Lyon Homes acquired a truly prime infill site – in the midst of the beautifully built-up Village of Woodbridge in Irvine.

In Woodbridge, Lyon acquired a 6.2-acre site formerly occupied by Alderwood School. When the Irvine Unified School District determined that Alderwood was no longer of use and closed the elementary school, Lyon acquired the site, demolished the school and will open model homes on the site in February.

At the intersection of Alderwood and East Yale Loop, Lyon is developing 48 single-family detached homes ranging in size from 2,200 to 2,550 square feet. Sale prices will be released when models are opened.
